Does anyone know where the best place to sell handmade Thai crafts is? I work with some ethnic Thais who produce very high quality, hand made crafts such as hand embroidered Thai silk scarves and some wooden carved pieces. Also some reclaimed buddhist relics. The scarves are high end quality. When I say hand made, I mean hand made. The stitching takes around 9 weeks to do. I am looking for places to sell the scarves etc, either wholesale or retail. Because they are hand stitched, each piece is unique and the supply is small volume. My Thai friends are not looking to make mega bucks. My mom makes these beautiful hand made quilts but has been having problems selling them on ebay. Part of the problem is likely the fact that she has no seller feedback and little experience with ebay. Is it possible to make money at craft sales or flea markets selling handmade goods? Okay, so I have a little talent. You may think it's only VERY little. I can knit. I have a good stock built up of gemstones and beads but need to build a website, buy display items, get into some craft shows... whew... exciting but running out of funding is my number one problem (have my circle of friends and family buying and one dealer who has picked up the line but still) I don't know where to go or what to do. Any one with experience here who would not mind sharing their knowledge would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
