How to make Americana crafts and decorations

I have recently redecorated my living room in Americana theme and was wondering if anyone knew of any books or resouces that I could use to learn to make my own Americana crafts. I spent well over 1000 dollars in just decorations and just want to learn to make my own in the future. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
